Prunus texana

Rounded shrub native to poor soils in Edwards Plateau west. Fragrant white blooms in early spring great for pollinators, esp bees. Small fruit for birds & wildlife. Best in lean, kind of not great soils: caliche tolerant. Drought tolerant once established. Use on fence lines, as specimen, in wildlife gardens, native pollinator for cultivated plums.
