Platanus wrightii

A very large and spreading species of Sycamore, native to the bottomlands and riparian areas of the Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts. Fast-growing with beautiful multicolored mottled bark. Relatively untested in Texas Hill Country, so this is a species for the more "adventurous" landowner with space to spare. Fine with Alkaline soils.
