Red Mulberry

A great small-to-medium tree with glossy lobed or unlobed leaves that produces a tasty red fruit in Spring once mature. Not fussy about soil, but prefers a sunny location. Naturally occurs as a multi-trunk tree, but can be pruned/trained to a single-trunk tree. A great native that offers food to both humans and birds, and doesn't ask for a lot in return. Nice yellow fall color.
