Native evergreen shrub, amenable to many soil types and light intensities from 1/2 day to full day's sun. Can be kept trimmed into dense hedge or topiary, or trimmed up with age to form small tree. Red berries winter berries on females, these are seed grown so male plants will occur, insignificant white blooms spring attract significant pollinators! Native source of caffiene. Drought tolerant once established.
