Fraxinus albicans

A fast growing tree, often multi-trunk but can be trained single, with great drought resistance and beautiful fall color. Not to be confused with it's reviled cousin-Arizona Ash, which typically is seen in stump form. Texas Ash is native from Oklahoma to northern Mexico, does well in rocky to clay soils, native populations in Pflugerville area. Host plant to multiple Swallowtail & Sulfer Butterflies. Very valuable to wildlife, an excellent mid sized shade tree.
