Near neighbor from the eastarn Sierra Madres, this showy Salvia has some of the largest blooms in the Genus, extremely showy coral-red blooms bring in hummingbirds & pollinators summer through fall. Lush foliage. Trim in mid Feb 75% to keep compact.  Best in lean, well drained soils. Very drought tolerant once established.
