Erythrostemon gilliesi

Showy yellow summer blooms with long, trailing red stamens. lacey foliage, likes to form small "tree", but a woody perennial that dies to ground in harder winters returning from root base. Native to Argentina and Uruguay, this pretty perennial has been a staple of central Texas gardens for decades thriving in our heat & sun and not minding drought. Needs good drainage, very drought tolerant once established.
