Cupressus arizonica

Native conifer, with small populations in the Chisos Mountains. Surprisingly well adapted to much of western half of state, where its evergreen, blue green foliage is welcome as an accent or for screening. A great shelter plant for wildlife. Does require a spot with good drainage, but fine in calcareous lime stone to alkaline clays. Very drought tolerant once established.
