Native to East Texas west into the Austin area. Compact grower, ideal border plant or tight spaces - or mass to delight your butterflies! Puffy blue blooms spring - fall held above neat mounds of bright green foliage. Tolerant of most soils, including poor drainage, heavy clays; showiest in areas that receive regular irrigation in summer. Drought tolerant once established.

Perennial, hardy z5-z10.
