Non-native, non invasive, shade-preferring perennial. Often referred to, and mistaken with, Plumbago auriculata because of the similar coloration in bloom and leaf form. Leadwort, as we refer to it, is a spreading groundcover that produces waves of sky-blue to baby-blue flowers throughout the warm growing season, 8" tall by 24" wide. Useful in a garden that sports taller shade plants like Abutilon, Turk's Cap, American Beautyberry, etc.

Scientific name: Ceratostigma plumbaginoides
