Asimina triloba

From the east of the state hugging the gulf through the south this native tree's large fruit taste of the tropics. Best adapted to moist East Texas woodlands, we'd best recommend trying Paw Paw as understory trees for areas with deep soil that will receive irrigation. Mulch young trees deeply.  Host plant for Zebra Swallowtail Butterfly. Slow growing understory tree for food forests.
