Acer skutchii

This rarely offered Maple is found only in 5 natural populations in Mexico and Guatamala, and stands up better to heat, humidity, drought and alkaline soils than most Maples. While more drought tolerant than most Maples, we'd advise planting in areas where at occasional summer irrigation will continue into maturity. Spectacular fall color, slow to moderate grower, mid to large sized shade tree.
