Famous for its spectacular fall foliage color this beautiful western Texas Maple is found in moist canyon microclimates. Needs well drained soil, fine with rocky escarpment soils. While Bigtooth Maples are more drought tolerant than many Maples, they are best in areas that will receive summer irrigation even at maturity. A stunning, if slower growing, mid sized shade tree.
